The Alpha Alpha chapter does not participate in Formal Recruitment. Instead, we opt for an informal process of recruiting girls and hold our own rush by hosting a series of events at the beginning of each semester. Rush is an important time for our chapter as it is how we meet new girls to welcome into our sisterhood.

Rush is a two-fold process. The first day will consist of information sessions so potential pledges can learn more about our organization and determine if Omega Phi Alpha is the right sorority for them. The next few days will have activities that are based on our three principals of Friendship, Leadership, and Service.  Past events have included campus scavenger hunts, charades and valentine letters to the older folk. Potential pledges must also attend a formal Interview. If extended a bid, girls are then invited to attend a weekend of fun events culminating with our secret tradition of Induction where PNM's officially accept their bid and become pledges of Omega Phi Alpha, Alpha Alpha Chapter.

To receive a bid, girls must be a Northern Arizona University student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. We are a drug and alcohol-free sorority.

 

Even if you meet our requirements this does not mean you will be obtaining a bid.
